Requirement Statement

The system is to be a classified ad listing site. Users of this system can post their classified ads; search for their desired ads on the site. An admin panel is to be provided to support all the administrative functions ranging from controlling the ads to posting of events. There is also an option for entering school and college classifieds. That is, postings can be made under schools and colleges in a specific state. Various image ads are also present which will serve as advertisement and add to the revenue for the site.

Users will be able to view the content management pages like: about us, contact us, privacy policies, etc. Users can post their ads, events, videos they want to publicize through this site. They may post it for free or have to pay certain charges for that based on location of visibility or enhancement of ad feature. Users can also place events to the site, which will be displayed under the events section of the site. There will be a “my account” section for the users where they can track the ads, events, videos they have posted in that site and they can view details of those ads they had placed. There will be a location selection page wherefrom users can select their location to view ads under that location.

Solutions Offered


The system is approached with the vision that it will work like an online system where there will be a system administrator who will be able to control the site. For that reason the system is envisioned to have an Administrator control center, which will be specific to the System Administrator and a user interface center which will be meant for the users who will visit the site.

Administrator section will be a secured section where the administrator can log in with his secret user id and password. In that section, admin can carry out various activities like managing ads, managing users registered to the system, manage events, BLOG, videos, content management pages, categories for classified ads, categories for events, locations, etc. He will have the authority to block or enhance an ad if he wishes.

User section will contain those pages that will be visible to the end users who will visit the site. It will contain the content management pages like: about us, contact us, privacy policies, etc. From this section users can post their ads they want to publicize through this site.
